Fabulous 1940/50s Italian ceramic birds table lamp on an original wooden plinth.

Original piece by Italian designer and potter Ugo Zaccagnini (1920–2009) from his Florentine workshop. Ugo was a pivotal figure in post-war Italian ceramics, known for blending traditional technics with modernist aesthetics. Working during Italy’s post-war economic and cultural renaissance, Zaccagnini helped redefine ceramics as both functional objects and expressive art. His work often featured textured surfaces, bold forms. Experimenting with glazings resulting in those vibrant and creative pieces of the Italian studio pottery movement of the 1950s and ’60s.
